Beach Pocket Parks Open for Spring Break and Easter

(GALVESTON, TX) March 12, 2018 – If you’re looking to spend this Spring Break or Easter beachside with quick access to your vehicle or amenities, the City has two beach pocket parks on the west end of the Island that are an affordable option for families.

Beach Pocket Park #1 is located off of FM 3005 at 7 ½ Mile Road and offers visitors the ability to pull their vehicles up to the shoreline in an area that allows families plenty of room to spread out.

Beach Pocket Park #2 is also located off of FM 3005 at 9 Mile Road and offers visitors numerous amenities such as showers, restrooms, paved parking, and a large deck with tables perfect for a beachside picnic.

In observance of Spring Break and Easter, both parks will be open through April 1st daily and will charge a $15 entry fee for each vehicle, each time the vehicle enters the park. The parks will both be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Beginning in April, both parks will be open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each weekend on Saturday and Sunday through Memorial Day.

From Memorial Day through Labor Day the parks will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The pricing to use the parks from Memorial Day to Labor Day is $12 during the week, $15 on the weekends, and $50 for an annual pass.
