City monitoring possible severe weather

weather watch

The forecast later this week (Friday night into Saturday) shows strong southeasterly winds in our direction. This means tides are likely to stack. At this time, we're anticipating local street flooding due to sudden and severe thunderstorms and the potential for high tide.

Friday afternoon through Saturday morning is the period when the heaviest rainfall is expected, peaking Friday night.

We're monitoring the weather and planning for the possibility of street flooding. We will continue to provide updates as information is available.
