Galveston Police press release - March 24, 2019

Galveston, TX - March 24, 2019 - On Sunday morning, March 24th, at approximately 6:00 am, officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of 51st St in reference to a 911 call of a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old male, identified as Joshua Curry to have been stabbed and to be unresponsive.  Galveston EMS arrived on scene and assessed Curry; however, he was pronounced dead shortly after.  Detectives with the Galveston Police Department’s Major Crimes division as well as investigators with the Crime Scene unit arrived at the residence to interview any possible witnesses and process the scene for any forensic evidence. 

Investigators have currently identified another subject involved in the altercation and no suspects are believed to be at large.  At this point, no charges have been filed in the death; however, the investigation is still ongoing.  If anyone has any information concerning this incident, they are encouraged to contact detectives at 409-765-3770 or Galveston County Crime Stoppers at 409-763-TIPS (8477).
