  1. Ribbon Cutting: Dog Agility Course at Lindale Park

    May 31, 2019, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Lindale Dog Park

The City of Galveston, Boy Scouts of America, Better Parks for Galveston and Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce are hosting a Ribbon Cutting on Friday, May 31st at 4:00 PM for the new dog agility courses in Lindale Park. The City of Galveston, Boy Scouts of America, Better Parks for Galveston and Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce. The event is open to the public & we encourage people (and their pets!) to join the festivities. Galveston now has dog agility training courses for small & large dogs thanks to the efforts of a Ball High School student. Collin Somerville had the idea for his Eagle Scout Project after seeing a similar course in North Texas. He started fundraising for the project last summer & received donations from individuals & businesses for the project, including from Better Parks for Galveston, a non-profit that supports projects to improve local parks. Join us for a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the success of Collin’s efforts and to see the dog agility courses!
