Texas Emergency Rental Assistance Program (TERAP)
Galveston City Residents ONLY
To apply for TERAP, applicants must meet the following:
- Live in Galveston City
- Document financial impact due to the loss of income or job or medical, quarantine, or school closure after March 1, 2020
- Have income at or below HUD-specified income limits of 80% (chart below)
- Cannot have any duplicated rental assistance
- Proof of tenancy
- Landlord must agree to participate
- Public Housing and Section 8 Voucher units are NOT ELIGIBLE

HOUSEHOLD INCOME LIMITS
Note: 60% income and under can apply with self-certification application below and 60% to 80% must provide full income documentation (contact G&H for additional information)
Applicant Selection Process
Applicants must fully complete the TERAP Application and Certification Forms and provide all required documentation during the application period of February 3rd through February 26th. Due to Limited Funding, all Applications received during this period will be placed in a Lottery Drawing for applicant review.
Submit full Applications and Documentation
Please save all of your application and documentation files with your name included before submitting them to the website. Go to this online website and login using the Username and Password. Click on Add Files. Then add your application and documentation files by selecting them from your saved documents and click on Open. This will list your files in the fileshare. Then Click on Start next to each of your listed files to save them. Please contact G&H if you need assistance.
Applications and documentation must be submitted by February 26th; website will be closed after that date.
