- Work of the contract is for repairing damages to the City Hall facility included exterior masonry wall cladding, terra-cotta stone window sills and lintels, interior walls and flooring. The locations of the damages were on the North, East, and South facades and occurred at all four (4) floor levels.
- Refer to attached Galveston City Hall Window Scope of Work Matrix outlining the locations of the following repairs:
- Cleaning existing Terracotta with Non-ionic detergents such as D/2 Biological Solution, NP40, Triton X-100, Orvus, or Tween20 where indicated
- Deep Patch existing Terracotta sills with Edison Coatings Custom System 45 TC (a two component cementitious system and Restoration Latex RL-3. Color-matched flexivilized acrylate epoxy paste filler covered with Aquathane UA210 Type NCL waterbone aliphatic polyurethane - tine and sheen to match Terracotta surface where indicated
- Removing mortar down ½" repoint with white cement mortar where indicated
- Providing new or existing intact Terracotta units for lintel where indicated
- Patching existing Terracotta sills with Edison Coatings Flexi-Fill 530 Color- matched flexivilized acrylate epoxy paste filler covered with Auquathane UA210 Type NCL waterbone aliphatic polyurethane - tine and sheen to match adjacent Terracotta surface where indicated.
- Removing lintel block where indicated.
- Removing steel lintel and replace with hot dip galvanized where indicated.
- Removing any existing sealant and apply new sealant – BASF Masterseal NP 2TM Sealant or equal where indicated.
