City facilities closed in observance of Good Friday

City facilities will be closed Friday in observance of Good Friday. Except for the police and fire stations, city buildings will be closed and staff will not be there to answer phones or respond to online inquiries on Friday.

Due to COVID-19, the recreation centers are already closed. Recycling Center attendants will not be there Friday, however, they will return Saturday. You may still drop off brush and bulk trash at the transfer station on Harborside.

In observance of Good Friday, Island Transit will operate a Saturday schedule (7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) on Friday, April 10, 2020.

From the City of Galveston, Happy Easter and Passover to you and yours.
