Court denies bar owner's request for a temporary restraining order

Holly Landry, owner of Sharky’s Tavern, filed a lawsuit Wednesday seeking to enjoin the city from enforcing Governor’s Executive Order GA-18.

A TRO hearing was scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday. During the hearing, the city pointed out that Executive Order GA-18 had been superseded by additional orders enacted by the governor, therefore the intervention by the court was unnecessary. The court declined to grant the plaintiff’s request for a temporary restraining order.
