GALVESTON, TX (November 4, 2020) – The Galveston mayoral position and six City Council districts were among the many races on the November ballot for Tuesday's election. The following unofficial results are according to the Galveston County Clerk’s Office as of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020.
Galveston City Council seats are unpaid positions, and candidates are elected for two-year terms. Candidates must earn 50 percent of the votes to be elected. If no candidate garners 50 percent, it becomes a runoff.
According to unofficial results from the Galveston County Clerk’s Office, Galveston voters decided the Galveston City Council races as follows:

Craig Brown, 7,434 votes
City of Galveston Council Member District 1 –
E.R. Johnson, 1,004 votes
City of Galveston Council Member District 2 – RUNOFF
William Schuster, 981 votes
Pam Bass, 667 votes
City of Galveston Council Member District 3 – RUNOFF
Frank Thomas Maceo, 1,503 votes
David Collins, 1,198 votes
City of Galveston Council Member District 4 –
Bill Quiroga, 1,585 votes
City of Galveston Council Member District 5 – RUNOFF
Beau Rawlins, 1,348 votes
John Paul Listowski, 1,348 votes
