Flamingo Fest Golf Cart parade returning to Postoffice this Saturday

Decorated golf carts will parade down Postoffice Street on Saturday for the second annual Flamingo Fest Golf Cart Parade.

The Postoffice Committee of the Downtown Partnership is hosting the parade on Saturday, June 12 beginning at 12 p.m. The golf cart parade will line up around 11 a.m. in a parking lot on the SE Corner of 24th & Postoffice. From 12 p.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m., they will complete a loop and a half around Postoffice and Church between 24th and 20th Street, passing down Church Street once and Postoffice Street twice, before coming to a stop on Postoffice between 20th and 21st Street for judging.

Once the golf cart parade is completed, all the golf carts will line up/park on Postoffice between 20th and 21st Streets until no later than 5 p.m. This one-block closure is expected to occur from approximately 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The parade route itself will be escorted by GPD and the City of Galveston traffic department will assist with the one block closure.
