[ARCHIVED] Waves Of Information For The Week Of January 22nd

Each week the communications office puts together a weekly update that is filmed and broadcasted on our municipal channel and the City's social media channels! In an effort to reach more citizens with these timely updates about the latest information from the City, we are now offering them here on our website in the form of an email. We hope you find this information helpful and look forward to keeping you informed!

With your help water levels have returned to normal and the City is now able to lift all restrictions on water consumption.

The amount of water in the City’s storage tanks has normalized after becoming critically low after last week’s hard freeze. With the help of City crews, contracted crews, and conservation minded residents and businesses, tank levels are maintaining their normal levels as of Monday, January 22, 2018. We are still asking residents who experienced a leak due to the weather to report it on our website or by calling 409-797-3550 so that we can adjust your bill prior to mailing by forgiving the excess use. Residents are also encouraged to use this break in the cold weather as an opportunity to prepare your home for any future inclement weather like we experienced last week. You can find tips, report leaks, and more on www.galvestontx.gov/freeze.

City Council will hold their January workshop and meeting this Thursday.
