[ARCHIVED] Waves of Information for the Week of February 5th

Welcome to our weekly Waves of Information for the week of February 5th!

This Friday, February 9th, at 2pm at Moody Gardens City Secretary Janelle Williams will officially swear in Galveston Police Department's 59th Police Chief, Chief Vernon Hale.

Chief Hale joined the department on January 2nd and has been working alongside Chief Richard Boyle to get to know the department. In that time he has met with numerous community groups, identified goals and priorities for his first year, and has even been in the grand marshal in the MLK Day Parade and the Krewe of Aquarius parade. The City will hold a brief meet and greet with the Chief immediately following his swearing in. You can join us at 2pm in the Floral Ballroom at the Moody Gardens Convention Center as we welcome our new Chief to the Island and say farewell to Chief Boyle.
