Contractors moving forward on 25th Street project

The City of Galveston issued the notice to proceed for the 25th Street project this week. As the contractor prepares to begin construction, the interior lanes northbound and southbound of 25th Street will be closed between Avenue K and Avenue M.

Contractors will have partial road closures on 25th Street from Avenue K to Avenue M to build the traffic transition.

The project will include the repaving of 25th Street between Broadway and Seawall, water and sewer improvements, one traffic signal replacement, and a minor drainage improvement.
