GPD modifying certain services to prevent potential spread of COVID-19

The Galveston Police Department continues to serve Galveston residents in all capacities; however, the department has modified certain services to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.

To prevent the potential spread of COVID-19, the Records Window at the Galveston Police Department will be temporarily closed until further notice. The department will have administrative staff on duty during our regular business hours to assist you via telephone or email.

Citizens may still obtain police incident reports and accident reports online and the department will assist the citizens in the permits and registration process via telephone and by mail, with the exception of parking permits. Resident parking permit processing has been suspended at this time and until further notice.

The department apologizes for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
